"Rainbow Babies" are the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean that the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and the clouds. Storm clouds may still loom over but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy, and much needed hope.      




From The day our rainbow baby was conceived i knew it was as true gift from our Angel, a glimmer of hope a and happiness and i knew Ayla would protect and watch over us all and make sure her little sister would arrive safely and fill in the broken heart which is slowly healing but will always be incomplete.

Iv shared this pregnancy as much as i can with my friends and family, each day brings something new, from fear to hope. Iv had amazing support from my on line friends who arnt just friends they are my life and have lifted me when iv been at my lowest.

I am extremely thankful for all these amazing ladies, they are the ones who understand my pain and they are always there no matter what time of the day/night.

RAINBOW pip is now six weeks and the size of a lentil... so here is a lentil rainbow :)

RAINBOW pip is now seven weeks and about the size of a smartie :)

At 8 weeks, RAINBOW pip is the size of a (largish) button... and cute as a button too!

RAINBOW pip is now nine weeks and the size of a cherry (I am cheating a bit with this pic but GOSH that rainbow cake looks good!).

RAINBOW pip is now ten weeks and the size of a gum ball. Happy Halloween to you both!! ;) xx

Your RAINBOW bubba is now 12 weeks and about the size of a cupcake ;) Welcome to the second trimester and CONGRATULATIONS on a perfect 12 week scan - I am so happy for you!! xx

You are now 13 weeks pregnant and your rainbow bubba is about the size of my little chickies :) Lots of Love, from James ♥

You are now 17 weeks pregnant and RAINBOW bubba is the size (length) of a Christmas Candy Cane xx

You are 18 weeks pregnant and RAINBOW bubba is the size of a mini Christmas stocking :) 

you are 19 weeks pregnant and RAINBOW bubba is the size of a mini paper lantern.

You are 23 weeks pregnant and it's time to start planning that baby shower!! I think it should look something like this (minus the 'Happy Birthday' of course ;) xx

You are 34 weeks pregnant and your little rainbow girl is the size of a sock monkey!! :) xx

You are 35 weeks pregnant and, curled up, your little rainbow girl is the size of a large paper pom pom! xx
